First of all, thanks for serving your country!
I'm a veteran of 26 years with the Army and am currently serving as the Commander of VFW Post 9972
in Sierra Vista Arizona.
This ad is very important for those of you who haven't
yet joined the VFW. National Headquarters out of Kansas City is planning on trying again in raising the Life Membership
fees dramatically in January 2007, so now is the time to join. Join with our post and transfer to another post once
you retire from the military.
You have two choices, either pay $30.00
for one year or pay for life and never pay another fee again. Here's the breakdown for lifetime memberships!
Up to age 30
$245.00
31 - 40
$235.00
41 - 50
$215.00
51 - 60
$195.00
61 - 70
$165.00
71 - 80
$125.00
81 and over
$85.00
Just click on the application below and follow the directions
on the next page. The annual membership of $30.00 is to be paid by either check,
money order or cash! Lifetime membership can be paid the same way or charge it to your credit card. It takes about
two months for the charges to go through; it goes to our board of directors and then National Headquarters before you're accepted
in.
Proof of eligibility is not required at this time but
will be asked for at a later date if you were to run for a position of leadership within the VFW; at this time though, only
dates of deployed service and where is all that is needed. Remember, even Korea qualifies you to join the VFW; if you
were stationed in Korea for more than 30 consecutive days, then you're good to go. Don't let this opportunity pass you
by. You'll save money now by going life! Hope to hear from you soon.
